Went out with a group of guys this weekend and attempted to do the first leg of the Washington Backcountry Discovery Route.

The route became impassable above 4000' due to snow and more dead fall than we wanted to clear.
Here's a video of me going through one of the first troublesome sections of snow.

The new suspension components performed great. The difference in ride quality on the washboard roads was incredible.

Nice! I'm just east of you in Edgewood but work near TCC.
This was WABDR Section 1. Runs from Stevenson to Packwood. We got bogged down about halfway. Most of the crew headed back through trout lake to take 14/I5 home since it was only supposed to be a day trip. Me and one other guy trucked on as we had planned on staying the night anyway. Our reroute was also blocked so we called it and took FS90 back to I5 through Cougar.

What were you running for tire pressure in the snow?

Funny you mention it. None of us aired down. I was running my normal street pressure 35 psi

I completely agree . In this particular case it wouldn't have mattered. Street pressure took us all the way to to about 20 trees blocking the road. More than any of us were willing to clear with daylight waning.
My General Grabbers are load range E and quite stiff. I've had them down to 15 psi before and they barely squatted.

I'm right down the road from TCC in Fircrest. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Did some electrical tinkering today. Previously, my lights were wired with inline fuses and switched via a Chinese key fob remote that I got off Amazon. The performance of the remote is less than reliable so I wanted to get hard wired switches and clean up the install a bit.
I did some CAD engineering (cardboard aided design) to work out a mounting plate for it all.

Then I copied the shape to a piece of HDPE plastic.

Ran my cabling from the switches mounted in my overhead sunglass holder through the firewall.

Wiring is still a little messy. I'll clean it up when I finish installing my dual battery system.

Nice. I love my over head switches. Which switches are those you used ?? Surprised you don't have abs but compass and temp monitor on the rear view mirror

Re-redoing things the third time
Switches are ip65 (allegedly) from Amazon:
6pc OLS 12V DC 25 Amp On/Off Rocker Switch IP65 Waterproof 3P SPST Red LED Indicator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PWYLIPK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_rooxxbM2GKPEC
The rubber boot on them should do well for keeping out dust.
I'm very happy that I lucked out on a non ABS rig. More space for a second battery and no electronic crap trying to outsmart me.

Its even nicer not to have abs if you want to do fun stuff like swap axles and whatnot. No sensor rings to get in the way because the speed sensor lives in the transmission tail housing or transfer case adapter.
