Yup, Hugh The Pusher of Heavy Metal. Damn him and his beautiful Cruisers! I tried to talk him out of his 75 Series pickup first...

That truck is nice but the Troopie could be fantastic! Hugh is a great guy to work with.

Does Safari Ltd have a website? All I pulled up when I searched was an auto repair place in CO with no mention imported vehicles. I am still kicing myself for not buying a Troopie from Marv when he first started importing them.

Repairs and mods are their primary business, the vehicles seem to be a side business.
Hugh, the owner is a straight shooting, no BS guy and I trust his wrench skills. He has a stellar reputation on the Western Slope.

I was looking at the website and thinking that this has got to be it but... I'll try to call them.

I'm a moron.... the gearing is 4.11, not 4.88. I'll let the gearing be.

Parts will start to filter in this week. Pics to follow...:costumed-smiley-007

Gee Gary, you're in my position...boxes of stuff in the garage and too little time....

What are you doing for rear seats?

Safari Ltd. is doing the major mechanical stuff since I don't have a garage yet, just a 85yr old 'carriage house' with a dirt floor...

The rear jump seats are in good condition, though I will likely remove the two rear-most seats for some cargo management. I'll probably have the two remaining jump seats recovered with tan Cordura or similar material to make them a little more comfy and durable.

OME suspension/ 2" over shackles have been installed, 33's on the new wheels. Lift and new shoes look great. Transfer case is being rebuilt this week and the H55F is next....

Ugh. I'm ready to be driving the damned thing. Looks like it will be a late April debut as long as the state gets me a new VIN on time.
