Anybody heard from Colorado Camper Vans?

Hey All,

We currently only offer one type of lifting mechanism which is automatic. We have built this into our efficiencies when producing the frames, parts, etc. We find most people want electronic lifts, so we figured out how to do them (we think) really well and keep them at a reasonable cost. We do currently say that our tops will lift around 100lbs even though they are 1000lb push/pull actuators. It is strictly because of the acute angles the actuators have to pull against to start the lifting process. I didn't say this but if you re willing to aid the actuators in the first couple feet of lifting, they should be able to lift more, but of course we only recommend the 100lb range to ensure proper functioning of the top.

FYI some quick prices:

Sprinters, Promasters, Transits- $8,0000
Ford E-series vans (either length body)- $7800
Astro Van- $6800

All vans include:

- Electronic lifting actuators with wireless remote.
- Flip-able bed panels for standing room in cargo area
- 360 degree windows (4 on astro, 6 on all other vans). Every window comes with un-zippable black-out vinyl panel, clear vinyl panel, and a mesh panel
- 6 LED lights on dimmer
- foam cut custom fit and custom made foam cushion covers that are washable.

Thanks and hope this helps.

Good to know Stephen... thanks for sharing.
In regard to time lines, is there any guaranteed turn around times for those who are states away from your location?

Just from experience, albeit brief, the CCV top is quite capable of lifting quite a bit. I had them put beatle kill pine tongue and groove on the roof as well as solar panel, fan, and rocket box. The motors don't even strain. Pretty impressive.

Hey All,

VIN Color Match Paint- $800

Guarantee for pick up/drop off: Usually why we get into a pinch and why some customer may have had an unpleasant experience with us getting their van on time is because we try to squeeze people in where we shouldn't. Derek is the nicest guy and doesn't know when to say no to customers. Well, now we are saying no to customers and it is helping us get work done in a timely manner. Obviously this makes the customers happy in the long run. Waiting a bit longer than they want, but getting a quality build, done on time. If you go through the normal process with us, and book a time that is open on our calendar, we will guarantee a time that your van will be done. We get in trouble when we must meet time restrictions for customers and we are trying to get away from this. Hope this helps!

Thanks,

Stephen

Thanks Stephen... I have a Safari and live in Northern California. I read 100 hours to install... is that based on 8 hr days 5 days per week? Just trying to figure out the timeline :)

Hey, can you snap a pic of the area with the rear brake light...I had to cut into mine when installing the roof vent and am concerned it may affect the top, just wondering how the back end looks. Thanks.

Hi Mike, Derek installed the tracks. I did the rest. Pretty easy with the T-Track. Here are some just taken pics. Just stopped for lunch on way up to Jackson, WY :)

Ray, While we're peppering you with questions....

What kind of tracks are those? Derek offers Yakima roof rails as an option- are these those? Or are these something you came up with? I want something I can throw a ski/bike rack on when needed, and also be able to mount solar relatively low profile- like you've got.

Thanks,

Mike

Welp... I done pulled the trigger... my Safari gets a roof lift sched' for June. Basic install with Yak rails for future needs... week and half down time there, and a nice drive and fly back getting there, and a fly in and drive back when it's done... should be a fun time camping in the Salt Lake area coming and going.

FYI... Matt has taken over for Stephen.

I'm pretty excited... :D
