Anybody try this?

Using two golf cart batteries in parallel, that is. I understand they are truly a deep, deep cylce battery that does well with recharges.

Agreed. I get autoscrubber batteries from time to time, and they're just fine for camping use. They're 14 inches tall, so it takes a little creativity to store them, but even though they won't run an autoscrubber (high current draw) they work great for my CPAP, furnace, and lights.

Trojan seems to be "the " brand, but nearly any ought to work.

Careful lifting them- they're heavy.

Minor point...you run them in series, not parallel to achieve 12 volts.

Major point...they do very well in RV applications, but may not be a durable as an AGM 12v battery with regards to vibration, etc.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I am still researching my options - will need to run a CPAP and fridge for sure, maybe a couple of other small things or lights. I would like to shoot for 3-4 days between charges.

More input is appreciated. One question, I well be running my CPAP through an inverter. What would be a good size for that with some extra range if I wanted to use something else for a bit. CPAP uses 12 - 16 Watts. Thanks!
