Arctic Ocean Expedition: March-April, 2007

Last time that I went looking for a self-serve car wash in BC I thought the place was closed - until I realized that I had to push a button to open the doors. Once inside the doors closed, leaving me in a nice cosy room. Will the wonders of living in snow country never cease :26_7_2:

Our plans are somewhat up in the air for now. We'll see how far we make it today, we are about 70 miles out of Prince George right now. We plan to be in the Seattle area by Saturday night and meeting up with some guys for a trail run/camp on Sunday.

toyrunner95, I sent you a PM - just give me a call this evening if you can.

OldSven, sent you a PM.

bc fjc, sent you a PM as well.

Regarding the road closure mentioned earlier, yes, we missed it. Much of the Cassiar was like driving in a tunnel of snow banks last night. Quite narrow at times. The IPF HID's just plain rock, we have been using them A LOT on this trip!

Also, thanks again to Mountain Pete for the use of the booster equipment. We have signal again on hwy 16 in BC thanks to the booster and I am logged on and typing PM's while we are cruising. It works great, thanks.

Are you guys going to make any stops in Portland, Oregon or just passing on through?

Brian, it would be an honor to meet you in person if there is any way we can make it happen. We should be coming through the Portland area midday on Tuesday. I'll send you a PM.

I plan on being there. It's pretty convenient for me, and a chance to treat my wife out for dinner.

Glad you guys are going to make it!

Paul, I got your voicemail. For some reason, the number isn't in the log, so I haven't called back. We'll see you there, very much looking forward to it. Will you have the Element? It would be cool to see it.

Drew, got your messages too. Sorry our call got dropped. We are about 14 miles from the border right now. So maybe we'll see you tonight, that would be great.

Time to have some more fun :gunt:

By the way, the blog has an update.

I'm still working... so not looking like I will be able to make it. I hate it when a simple update go's wrong... Hope to see you guys along the trail next time.:safari-rig:

Thanks for the invite

Nice job! However, I am gonna have to ask to have names put to some of the faces. I know Scott's and Chris' mugs, but who are the others? I'm assuming that's Paul with the beard. Which reminds me, Scott and Chris look awful clean cut to have spent 2 weeks up north. I let my face grow long most winters and weather here is nothing like what you guys saw.
