AT Comanche Flippac

I contacted Flip-Pac about a unit last spring but never got any of the information we asked for. I was wanting to see if they made a unit with a single door in the back to replace the tailgate and flip-up rear window. Looking forward to better information on this product. It seems to be a very good option that is better than a tent and not as bulky as a full size truck camper.

No single door from Flippac. That's why I have started building my Flippac WITH a single rear door. This was a must have for me because of the winter camping (heat loss) and summer bugs getting in with a tailgate and flip open window the Flippac comes with.

I got the second awning installed today and I have to say that the combined F-35s provide a lot of shade. It is nice to have the body mounts for the legs so that the rig can be repositioned with everything deployed. I have also provided a couple of interior tent shots to show the spaciousness.

Next installment will be LED interior and exterior lighting if all goes according to plan. Stay tuned!

That's the same idea for awnings I have on my truck/flippac!! BUT yours are much nicer! Mine are the roll up RV type with poles to the ground. I have been set up MANY times and would have liked to move a few feet, but I am stuck with the 2 awnings out and in the ground. I even tried to find a way to mount what I have to the truck but now that I see yours!! How much are they?? As for the rear awning, I am planning one over the rear door. can't wait for that one, probably the most needed.

Anyway, I will be checking your thread often!! Love it!

Hey Bella,

that is an awesome rig. The rear entrance with a single door is a must to keep the bugs out as you said. Did you make it your self or have it made.

Elcoyote, I searched around for body mounts like you have. Couldn't find any. Did you make them yourself?

Elcoyote is having a bad Microsoft week, so his computer is in for therapy right now. Hope you don't mind if I answer the question.

The vehicle body mounts a for the awning are part of the Fiamma awning kit.

Hope that helps.

check your browser settings...works just fine in Firefox

Hey Mario, That's because Firefox auto resizes pictures and Internet Explorer does not. Kind of a pain but that's Microsoft for ya. :ylsmoke:

Nice pics BTW. :sombrero:

I am glad to see a great product idea getting some active marketing support.
Looking at the FP website in the past I was sure it was on its last legs.

MS, the bane of my existence for the last week. I didn't know that IE and FF were different like that. Thanks for the explanation Mike.

I stopped using IE long ago because of all the nonsense associated with it. Firefox is better IMO, and free...

So Mario, on those FlipPacs, is the standard option no side windows like on your MJ?

I think it looks clean that way as well as being more private :costumed-smiley-007
