Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Got a few minutes yesterday so I bolted the slide in place in the Jeep. So far I've worked it out to be a no-drill installation, but I've got to test that to see if it's robust enough.

In this photo the fridge is on the first extension and the drawer pulls out from under the fridge on the second extension

The swivel could be mounted under the fridge at this location so it can swivel to the side, the end that swivels will end up a bit in front of the tail light.

I power my Waeco/Dometic 35qt with a 75Ah gel battery that's getting charge from an 80W solar panel. Works pretty well. If necessary the battery can power the fridge for up to 5 days without sunlight.

Do you mind telling us exactly which battery you have.
It's just a cheap no-brand made in china battery that came with the solar power kit.
When it dies, I will replace it with another cheap solar battery, because that's what they're made for. No need for high CCA, just deep-cycle.

I'm working on two design ideas for a slide-deployable kitchen.

This first idea has a two-part folding table. The table folds vertically against the fridge; when it's folded down the second section flips forward to provide a fairly large table. This concept drawing shows the sequence of stowing the kitchen:

The table would be large enough to provide for a small stove plus a work surface, as well as providing full use of the drawer that slides out from under the fridge.

In this next idea, the fridge is mounted on a swivel, and swivels to the side. The drawer can slide closed under the table so it doesn't get in the way when you're working at the table. This shows the sequence of deployment:

There would be room for a stove with this option as well.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the swivel and fridge.

Got a question for you about the 2 door window sliders. Im picking up my new raft tomorrow and this is the rack I picked up for it, Rhino-Rack 2 Door

Here is a pic of the inside structure of the rack.

Do see anything that would interfere with the sliding window kit?

No, the Rhino Rack structure won't interfere with the slider window kit. Here's a photo of the inside of the JKU slider window; the 2dr will look the same.

Update on the 2dr slider kit: The first thing on my to-do list when I get home form this trip the middle of next week is to send a prototype 2dr retrofit kit to the hardware manufacturer so they can do the production engineering to get the kit into production. I'll post updates as that kit progresses towards production.

Thanks, I see how they would both work now. Thanks again.

Picked up the new raft in its box today, poor Lucy Dog had almost no room in the back.
