Red Shouldered Hawk seen only a few minutes from my house. Another example why you should always have the camera sitting on the passenger seat with it set and ready to shoot.

Love the Hawk shot Andrew

We have White Pelicans here in the states, but they dont have as much black on their backs as that one you posted does

Harris Hawks at the Tucson Desert Museum

The Desert Museum has a free flight demo with trained Harris hawks. It was a good learning experience for me to attempt a few BIF (and not so BIF) shots.

Brad, those are some fantastic shots!!

Thanks Pat. It really helps when they have the birds fly back and forth over you about a dozen times so you can get 200 attempts.

It was great learning experience though. I now truly appreciate how difficult it is to be ready and catch the one fleeting pass of a wild bird.

Maybe I'll just hang out at their shows and pretend.:coffeedrink:

I was so pissed off that I missed the top of the wing in this shot this morning

In my defense, I was standing in a boat that was rocking in small chop and hand holding a 500mm lens...LOL I was pretty happy the shot turned out at all :victory:

Cruising with breakfast, very cool. :wings:

Hey maybe expand the image space and CS5 content aware will build you the missing wing tip. :jump:

I've never tried that, but my wife told me to just cut it out of the next shot that was framed properly and paste the two together....Sounds like too much work for me.

I'll just try it again tomorrow
