I wouldn't. That's how the maxtrax shattered. Kind of. I don't think these are meant for bridging.

That may be why the Maxtrax shattered, I don't think you are supposed to pile stuff under them when bridging. On the other hand, one would think it wouldn't make a difference, but in your case it obviously did. Maybe the perfect storm of rock piling! Certainly lots of videos of people using them bridging without issue, maybe it was a defective set.

We weren't bridging. More like ramping. My friends 100-series blew it's front diff. So we were trying to get him up a ledge in rwd. Ended up blowing the rear driveshaft U joint also.

I'm excited to take another mod off the to do list. And not because I completed it, but because it's no longer necessary. 2013+ JKs come with an OEM stamped steel Evap cannister skid plate. So I don't think relocating or protecting it is a high priority anymore.

This is more of a stone deflector. Pretty light duty.
That said, I've seen some guys wheeling big rocks without issue. Proper line choice is a good thing.
I have the Nemesis kit to relocate, because I want that spot for an air tank. :)

The evap skip bent in half when I pushed off of it when I changed to a posion spyder skid. Would say it's 16 guage at best.

That's what I was thinking. But I'm also leery of all those Evap plastic connectors. I broke all the engine bay ones doing the dual battery install and haven't fixed them.

You might want to follow this video's instructions on how to relocate it, especially if you lift it.

Keeps you from having to buy a new rear drive shaft :)

Plus, its a super easy (and free) mod.

I installed some ARB IPF headlight conversion kit tonight. Got a good deal on eBay. I'm not sure the upgrade is worth the cost. The light color is definitely better. The high beams seem better too. I'll aim them up higher and see. Might go with the trucklites after all.

I was about to order some from north ridge before the price went up but my friend who has them convinced me not too. I like the look though.

For $75 I figured the ARBs were worth a try.

In more important news, all our final mortgage loan docs went through today. Singing the final paperwork on Friday. So the mod flood gates are set to open very soon.

Swapping out my wheels and a temporary 2.0 AEV lift is first on the agenda, followed by a springtail solutions tailgate table.
