Camper Frame Material - Aluminium or Steel?

Anyone know what a unicell Fiberglass box might weight ? How about other refer boxes that are out doing deliveries ??
The materials that are typically used in Australia have FRP skins of about 1.5mm and a HD urethane core. Overall thickness is 23 or 50mm and the weight is 5.5 to 6kg/sqm.

Mine is 19mm thick and I used a lightweight steel frame. It is held together with Sikaflex 252. The steel frame was a mistake, it was not needed, except under the floor and to carry the spare wheels.
The interior furniture is also sandwich panel and it is part of the "structure" of the box.

Cheers,
Peter

I've weighed the option of steel frame versus wood frame in my camper project, and went with the wood. If I could swing the price of aluminum, I would do it in a heartbeat due to weight reduction.

Seeing weight isn't an issue, looks like a steel frame would work out fine for you.

Good luck
