Car Camping in the Eastern Sierra's (East Fork, Rock Creek area)

It was July 4th weekend!

It was my nephew's very first time camping, and first campfire!

It was also his first time going on a hike!

Growing up, that area was my dad's go to place for our longer trips. Fond memories of Rock Creek (pretty foggy after too many years though). Was just wearing my "Tom's Place" t-shirt this weekend

It really is. Well, the western half anyway. Eastern Montana is garbage.

There's an old bumper sticker you see around here all the time. It says, "When God made Montana, He was just showing off." Having lived here for 21 years and explored it for 16, I am 100% on board with that sentiment. The best part? All of those photos were taken within three hours drive of my driveway

LOJ Campground, Adirondacks, a week or so back. Lots of great trail access without driving anywhere.

Trona Pinnacles, just south of Death Valley and really interesting to explore.
