KCL campground in Carrizo Plain is our go to overnight stop when we're traveling to visit our daughter in San Francisco. We were there overnight on the 20th.

We were like passing ships in the night! I've never been out on the Plain when nobody was there. It was rad.

I never knew there as so much good hiking out of KCL

Our final final night camping is at Laguna Mountain on our way back to the city with the obligatory stop at Old 67 the most photographed Oil Derrick in California. Possibly an apocryphal saying..

Including a wonderful hike down to the river

Happy New Year ExPo!

We pretty much had the lower level of this campground all to ourselves with only a couple of guys on mt bikes coming in around dinner time and setting up at the opposite end of the large open area. Right beside a small river to boot. Inverness area on Cape Breton Island. All awning out to dry after torrential rains while at Cheticamp.

That cover looks unique. Is it home made?
It's a Combi-Camp "Family" which I believe dates to the mid '80's. I've been slowly repairing/rebuilding it and this was our first time out since starting that process so a bit of a milestone.
