Wow, looks like you had a great time! I can't wait to check it out on our trip in July. Did you get a guide and how was your experience with that?

Yes. In Canyon DeChelly, we had James Yazzi ride along with us. I would have paid him just to hear him speak Dine to us. Very easy going, amazing canyon...having a guide made the experience complete.

I've been following this thread as I have never been to these places and am trying to get it together for a trip this fall. After all the suggestions, what areas did you end up going to? Looks fantastic.
List of the main places we hit:

Canyonlands
Newspaper Rock
Mesa Verde
Four Corners (relatively cheesy)
Canyon DeChelly
Monument Valley
Valley of the Gods SP
Goosenecks SP
Natural Bridges NM
Lake Powell
Goblin Valley
Buckhorn Wash/San Rafael Swell

Excellent! :clapsmile

Looks like you got the full meal deal on this one. Love the MV, NBNM and CdC shots. I appreciate the 62/60 love too. (was that 60 at Hollow Mtn?)

Love how your LX looks too, now that I can see it without all of the snow on it. What a great way to enjoy your Spring break. I have a feeling there's more maybe.....?

Please tell your Dad I said 'hello" and to get a new hat. ;)

*I'm going to move this to the Completed section -
60 was in Hanksville...guy was pumped on my truck, and I was oogling his ultra-clean 60.

Oh there's more...I am saving the best for last.

Funny thing about my pops and that hat...he doesn't even watch/follow baseball. Not sure where it even came from...

Thought so, at the Hollow Mtn store? Cool place.

Glad you had such a great experience and perfect looking conditions. Looking forward to the rest.

Yes, it was the Hollow Mtn. Store. I didn't realize that was the name, but it was certainly in a hollowed out mountainside.

I finished my mediocre writeup, I tend to ramble, so bear with me.

A few of the places along the river were fairly deep. It is scary when out of nowhere the front end of your vehicle drops into the water deeper than the rear end. Makes you clench up your rear end a little...:yikes:
