Here's mine! I'm really liking it so far. I will say the bolts to attach to the rack are waaaay too long but nothing a trip to Ace cannot fix!

I got mine on the 3rd (no troubles with UPS, thank goodness) and spent most of the 4th "playing" with it and setting it up on my truck.
My next adventure will be the weekend after this one, so hopefully everything goes well on Friday the 13th (eek!)
Oh, and to anyone wondering about the ease of setting up the tent... I'm not very big (5ft 5in, 125 lbs) and the only thing I needed help with was lifting the tent onto my truck (because it's almost as heavy as me!) Once we got it up there though, I was able to do everything by myself. I opened it all up, attached the annex room, collapsed the whole thing down and covered it up for driving, with no struggles whatever. So that's something to be said for the user-friendliness of these tents!
I like seeing the pictures people are putting on here of how their tents are set up on their vehicles. If I can figure out how to put pictures on here I will do that too. :)
Looking forward to hearing other people's experiences with their tents!

All these pics and posts are making me jealous; I am headed out next weekend to pick up my tent; can't wait as I've been drooling while living vicariously through you all over the past couple weeks!

Our first stop we stayed at a hotel, but the rest of the week will be camping!

Next to build a lid for the M416 that I can mount the tent to so we can camp and leave the tent!

Just got back to Boise with our Mt. Rainier on top of our TDI Jetta. It looked kinda goofy, but 35 mpg average on the way home wasn't a bad way to do it. Bobby was great to work with and CVT is a class act alright. We set our tent up twice already just to show friends and I can tell already it's gonna be tough to fight off the lookie-lou's. Lot's of questions about the tent...but regardless, super cool. Thanks again Pritch for setting this up.

Mine is scheduled to be here sometime tomorrow!!

So much for 'Schedules':snorkel:

I should be posting up pics of my new CVT on my M416.....but right now, it's lost in space somewhere:Wow1:

Last update from the tracking thing at UPS said "Scheduled for delivery 07/06/12 by end of day"

Yet the last 'update' shows it leaving South Holland, IL on July 5th at 11:20

Got my old one sold already, Now just waiting on the big brown truck to come by.

And since they don't deliver on Sunday's, I'm going fishing on Lake Superior tomorrow!!:088:

Oh well, lots to do in the shop today. :coffeedrink:

Man, I really like the new style annex much better than the old one. Side doors >>> Side windows.

Question about screen room annex?

Hi, Got my tent (near Baltimore) and the box was shredded. Then taped up and ripped open again. I opened at the ups terminal and no damage so I am guessing it was a close call.

The tent is great, good size for the 4 of us. We used it twice this weekend. I want to mount it on a utility trailer at about 48" from ground level. My question is what to do with the extra length of the annex? Has anyone done this? Has anyone worked this out?

Thanks in advance.

Man, I really like the new style annex much better than the old one. Side doors >>> Side windows.

The 3 doors were VERY handy. I do wish I could find a way to keep them partially open for privacy though. If you have them rolled up for ventilation, it is a PITA to unroll and re-roll to when changing in the room. I ended up hanging the doors on the awning supports. My 1 year old slept in the bottom in his playpen while we slept up top. We had a torrential rainstorm come through and we all stayed dry. My annex leaked a little, and there was a decent amount of water on the floor, but I think it was the way I had it staked. I did not realize until later in the week the velcro at the top was there to raise or 'shorten' the annex to keep the bathtub bottom higher. The water was coming in through the zipper that holds the bottom on.

Overall I was very happy with the way it performed. It was so nice laying in it during the thunderstorm and not having to worry about getting flooded. I did lower the awnings though before it rolled in in case we got nasty winds. The rain landing on it actually sounded like we were in a pop up camper.

We only did semi-primitive camping in some campgrounds this trip, and probably will be that way for awhile.

should be velcro tabs on the inside to take up the extra slack so that only the floor is on the bottom to prevent water from going inside.

This will only take up 8" or so, he is going to have to find another option if he is only 48" off the ground. Mine is also going to be mounted on an M416, but my buddy and I are working on a way to get the floor of the tent up to at least the 6.5' that it is while on my H3. I needed to use those tabs to take up the slack on the top of my H3 this weekend.
