As the first generation RRSport has - essentially - the same underpinnings as the D3/D4 do you think the same principles you have employed in the suspension would work on the RRSport?

ie rods and electronics combined?

There are people over at rr.net forum running rods on RR Sports as well as some using IID tools in conjunction. As far as that part it should be the same, but in terms of tire clearance , rubbing issues, etc. There could be differences.
