Aww, come on, it was only like a 500' drop into the night!!!!

Of course, I drove over that sucker too!!!

I drove around it...took a fraction of a seconds look out the window and felt the pucker factor jump sky high! :yikes:

I won't be able to unpucker for days! ;)

Mark's favorite moment:

I see 6 or 7 people holding Ed's trailer from pulling his 40 down the short-n-steep hill climb.

Whoa! Hold it there, partner! :gunt:
That trailer wasn't pullin' my 40 down the hill!!!
We just couldn't negotiate a 110 degree left turn on the line I came up...we just kinda slid a bit too far left...
So they just decided to unhitch the trailer and get Vince to pull it ahead until I could reconnect...

Geez, man! Have another beer or something! :friday: Then you'll see it right!

;)

We're covered under warranty!!! :wings:

My odometer reading was 35,300... :ylsmoke:

They didnt even ask what I'd been doing - no hassles at all. The ring and pinion was destroyed according to the tech who looked at it. There have been alot of blown R&P's in the early mfg date 05's due to a bad batch of gears. Newer made Taco's need not worry.
Larry Miller Toyota is the place to take your Toy in the PHX area.
They gave us a rental car (covered under said warranty) to drive home to CA and parts are due in wednesday, she should be 100% by thursday.

That's awesome! Seriously though, why would a dealership frown on people who purchase Tacos and actually used them in oh...something it was designed for? If they had questioned what you were doing w/ your truck in the far distance places up in the mountain and claimed that you broke it. I would seriously question the dealership the lack of customer service and Toyota for building a inferiour product. Now that's what I call an A+ dealership, standing behind the product they sell. Awesome.

More pics!! :chowtime:

Indeed, what an amazing event. Thanks to Scott and everybody else that made this happen; the marshall's, the sponsors and the participants. It is indeed a special event and a special group of people. I feel fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful crowd ...

Here are a few of my favorite pics. More to come.

True true!

Between "too far left" and "so they decided" was a small, but not insignificant, event in which the details (ahem! 6 or 7 people pushing on the trailer in question, or as you indicated with three little dots) caused Blake to give a slight piece of advice to those of us keepin' yer tow steed stable-like: "Everyone got an escape route planned, just in case?"

Maybe he was being funny, but it put the fear of God (and trailer) in me.

Does somebody have a pic of my truck making the jump on the sand course???

I got good shots of you and several others in the sand course. I'll try and download them and post on Tuesday. Scott has them too, he might beat me to it. I have a picture of exactly when the R&P went I think! :Wow1:

Heck with it, I just downloaded your landing. The images are sized way down because of the modem here at home, but you get the idea.:Wow1: Much larger images will be coming soon, full res at 8mp available by CD if you want. Just PM me a shipping address.
