Expeditions West XV-JP Testing and Build Thread

The build will be featured in two parts, the first being all of the Jeep modifications and the second being the EarthRoamer conversion.

And the third will be tuning and tweaking the setup from part one, with lots of cool trail testing photos, and then the fourth will be about expedition prep....

Oh sorry. I was just getting carried away there for a minute. Please resume with Step 1!

Scott, can't wait to see the final product in action on some future adventure. Second week of July - getting close! I imagine you guys must be busy with the other mods about now. Good luck in getting the new rig buttoned up.

Yes, I leave for Colorado on the 10th with the Jeep, and the two ADV motos in tow.

Right now, Jeremy and I are busy installing all of the AEV equipment!

That hood & snorkel look soooooo nice. They did a great job on those pieces.

We have looked at fitting that same snorkel but quickly discovered an issue.....it doesn't fit with the roof racks we'll be using....

The racks leading arms run along the sides of the windshield....this snorkel fits tightly to the sides.....

Soooooo....no go.

That "Salad Shooter" top doesn't look so great either, buuut, it is functionally outstanding.

AEV did do a great job designing and building this snorkel, it just doesn't fit our application.

Lookin good so far Scott, keep it going, don't stop.
