Scott, are you thinking of showing it at the Off Road Expo in Pomona this October? If not, I'll join the list of So Cal folk who'll buy you a drink for a peek! Just say when/where!

So you want to come up here to the PNW and try your hand at the busy wild? You think the rubicon was bad? The busy will put the rubicon to shame, and put that snorkle to good use.

ER should make some sort of skirt/enclosure that attaches to the opened tent to expand the living area around/in the vehicle, similar to Eezi-Awn.

ER has a prototype in the works:

Kind of reminds me of the French Foreign Legion-type hat, for some reason:xxrotflma :

I am curious to see how the rear tent works with the tire carrier / bumper combination, though, and if it has a floor.

It will be at the LRNR :)

And, it is officially finished. We just tested all of the systems, and all is working. It will need some new coils in the rear for sure, given the weight.

Congratulations! It turned out awesome for sure.

I am currently sitting out a rainstorm in Leadville... So far, so good.

Will try to post some images, once the sun comes back out. :)

My initial impressions are good, and I have been surprised by the usability of the interior space. More than enough for one person, and the bed is very comfortable with the unique box spring and memory-foam mattress.

I ran the heater last night too, which easily kept off the 35 degree chill in the air outside. The 85 watt solar panel and (2) group 31 batteries have kept up with the fridge, heater blower and the laptop for a few days now. The mobile office is in operation!

Scott, do you remember that quote from the middle of the afternoon on July 18th, a hour or two before we rolled into Salida?

You know...."Life sucks . . . [long pause] . . . for everyone except us".

I think you can probably remove the "us", and replace it with "me" (as in: you).

I'd tell you to enjoy it....but I'm sure that you already are...

Stephanie and I just made it back to Prescott, and all is well with the little Roamer. It even did well pulling a trailer with the KTM on it.

First impressions with Steph and I living out of the camper are quite good. We have a list of organizational and storage adjustments to make, but it is surprising how easily two people can live in a Jeep. The huge bed swung out over the back is the key, as one person can relax up there and work or read, while the other is using the shower/toilet, changing or preparing a snack. I think the screen room hanging from the back will be key, as it will allow all-weather and all-bug cooking and relaxing. I might look into a microwave for the back, as the ability to heat up water/milk/coffee or a quick meal was very useful in the Sportsmobile we tested.

The heater rocks, and easily keeps the entire tent cozy, even on setting 1.

I guess the most important thing is that the camper works with two people, now we just need to work on our gear lists and organization strategies. That is the key to a relaxing trip and happy travel partners.
