Here's a fiberglass tub panel set just out of the molds, this one has a tailgate end on it.

For comparison, here's one with two solid end panels just like the original M416:

Because the tub is modular and the panels bolt together, tubs can be assembled with two solid ends, one tailgate and and one solid, or two tailgate ends.

Trying out some diamond-plate fenders for size... the tires are 205/15's.

Here's a new style fender being test fit on a fiberglass military kit build. Scott (the builder of this trailer) says:

Here is a style fender similar to the M101 with vertical bottoms that make adding side steps easy. They come a little long and need the bottoms trimmed.

Yes. According to the builder of this trailer, it's "a Jeep style double break one from Fenders 'N More".

http://www.fendersnmore.com/products/jeep.php, I'd guess the one he's using is the 70/20 Double Break version. They also offer a 45/45 Double Break version, which should be almost an exact match for the original Canadian M101 trailer fenders.

I just bought this prototype/test model from the builder! Was waiting for the tailgate model, but the deal was too good to pass up (especially since much of the work needed is a bit technically out of reach for me {as well as building space}!)

Thanks! I'm not sure yet how and when, but there will be an RTT involved! It's going to be built into a camping and overland rig, but that's about as far as I have got so far!

Last I heard, the company had made the base version of the tub kit available, and is just finishing up the last tweaks on their tailgate version of the tub kit. Here's a recent photo they posted:

I don't know what their exact plans are for the fiberglass hard cover/tent platform, I'm guessing they'll get to that after the tailgate version of the tub kit is released.

For the record: I'm not an employee of the company that sells these kits. Actually I'm not an employee of any company, I'm just a guy who designs things like this as a hobby. Sometimes companies like what I design and they license my design so they can bring it to market.
