Finally in the works, TLC Camper

Howdy All,

We (family of 4) finally have our 4x4 Camper coming. It was a long wait, planning, research, hold-ups, etc. ... About mid November we should receive our TLC, which is being converted to a Camper at the time of this writing.

The mission of this extremely off-road capable, converted to our specs, camper will be basically the entire southern part of Africa. Our home base is Windhoek, Namibia and we cannot wait to get going.

If you are interested in the making and our story, I would be happy to see you at www.wohni.com, a Blog dedicated to our camper, the journeys and stories we will hopefully have to tell aplenty.

Congrats to a great forum.
Cheers & Beers

So do you have any pics of the rig? I can't seem to find much info on your site. Sounds really cool and I'm sure we'd all LOVE to see this thing.

Cheers

Hi Dace,

This is what it looks like at the moment: http://www.wohni.com/uploads/picture-177.jpg

I will keep the blog updated as we go. Probably today I'll post a new one with plenty of plans and sketches.

You won't believe how much I want to see the thing  ; especially standing in our yard.

All the best

Very nice. Did those wheels come on that? Those are Lexus LX450 wheels here in the States. Same as 80 series 16s but with a little extra machining and shaded "windows"

Hi David,

Unfortunately the TLC 79 comes standard with super-thin, totally useless (unless you are a farmer) kind truck tires on steel rims.

I had the ones you see fitted, they are 285/7516 Bridgestone Mud Terrains.

Cheers
Tommy
