First trailer build!

Yes she has a etsy store, Sofiesews.etsy.com she can do any type of material you would like and they all are reversible.

Gets guys I am trying to design my rear door. Is there any advantages or disadvantages to having it swing out rather than down or down? Thinking if it swing about then I can get closer to the trailer to grab stuff inside. Comments based on experience.

Drop down......always have a table, but you stand further from the load box
side swing.......Mount a spare on it to swing out and a camp kitchen inside for swing out access.

I have always thought it would be nice for a swing out tailgate on my 101a2, The gate drops flat but it means no spare on the rear.
and an added swing out if I wanted one.

Mark, that is exactly what I was thinking with the swing out. I really want to make that my cooking area. I was thinking I would just put a down down panel on the inside of the door using some sort of heavy duty piano hinge. Or do you know of a company that sells a drop down stand like that?

So pumped purchased a INNO car side awning today for $189. Brand new can't wait to get some pictures of it to the build thread.

Got off work early today and was able to get some work done. Below are the beginning of the front steps. I fabricated them out of 2.5x1 steel that was cheap cut offs from the steel store. $2.45 for a 3 ft piece. Cut the steps on 45's and welded all around except the inside seem. Just tach welded them to the frame now. They will be bolted in case I want to take them off, any objection to bolting out there?

Any I have roughly 2.5" between the step and wheels in case I want bigger wheels/tires. If I need more ill just unbolt them :)
