255/85 on a LX450 with stock lift (so far). They feel a little heavier on steering and braking that did the stock tires (Michelin LTX)

No problem. I haven't taken them off road yet, but fit is very nice. They don't really look skinny (not the way 33x9.5s looked on my 55) they just look not-fat. My original springs are already riding low because I have a Sean Huston bumper in the rear and Slee shortbus in the front. I expect to put a 2" lift on sometime in the next six months. I don't want to gain too much height, but I'd like a little bit more space for articulation if possible.

Has anyone had a chance to get an actual weight on one of these yet? I would like to know how the weight compares to a 285/75r16 ST/MAXX.

It will be very normal to need to 'order' 255/85R16 or 255/80R17, they are not huge sellers.

I ordered from Discount Tire in Alpharetta ---- they were there the next day via FedEx Ground. That means they were already in GA somewhere.
I got the 17s for my stock wheels.

Ordered mine through my local Cooper Dealer. Again, 255/85 is not a common popular size, so most places don't have them in stock. I had to order my old 255 ST's years ago. They had been in production for a long time at that point too.
