I have a few questions for all the crew cab long bed super duty owners. Do you have any complaints about driving off road with a truck that long?
!

I used to run my 96 F350 CC diesel with my local jeep club. I had a few small issues with length (when we were running ATV trails in the woods) but they were few and far between. On the flip side the extra length was super nice because I almost always had an axle on dry land so I was able to keep chugging along. I never got stuck in 3 years of wheeling trips.

everybody mocks the guy who runs the CCLB while 4x4ing...until they get stuck. Then you are the first person they ask for help when they get stuck.

Going to install a shackle flip in the rear with a 6inch shackle and lift it total around 1 inch more. Thinking about almost double the flex it has now.

My new to me rig. Its been an exhausting search trying to find a well cared for, low mileage 7.3L. 2002 with only 110k miles and it's immaculate. It will be the platform for our next travel rig.

Nice truck. For mechanical or mod ideas there are Powerstroke forums out there. Powerstroke.org, Powerstroke Army, Powerstroke Nation. A lot of young kids who pull or race, but a lot of good info too.

Here's my 2001 Superduty, in the second pic we had to turn her around in a tight canyon after we encountered a vertical step I wasn't up to trying. The truck is leveled with front and rear air lockers, over-kill for this rig due to her size but nice to have none the less. If you look close at the second pic I had one wheel on each axle in the air, in this instance the lockers worked out quite well.

2013 F150 FX4, key features for me, 36 gallon fuel tank, E locker, generous cab dimensions. It has a level kit and a Leer shell with Bedrug. Having set up a couple other trucks in the past I really try to keep things simple and thoroughly though out in terms of function, practical need and actual use. I try to make wise use of all available space. Future plans include: steps/ sliders, a couple skid plates.

Raul- The rear locker is the OEM locker. Hopefully it does the trick. So far it has performed flawlessly. I used it a couple times in Death Valley - it may have not been needed, but it allowed for slow going no slip control in some rocks which was nice. Having a 36 gallon tank was great. Not having to worry about gas was awesome. I have a moderately built TJ that I considered taking. It would have been fun, but I would have been taking extra gas with me. The, we did these trucks are semi-nimble, we did the Lipincott Jeep trail without any issues in near dark conditions (not planned) which I wouldn't do again in the dark.
