274k isn't crazy high for a 7.3PSD

Maybe not for the engine but all of the other wear parts. Drivetrain...brakes...electro/vacuum climate control gizmos...door seals.

My DD is a 2000 Crown Victoria with 92k miles. Various things are starting to fail. Nothing too expensive but it is challenging my time/cost ratio compared to a newer vehicle. Mileage issues aren't a problem, fifteen years is in my case.

Paper clips can only be bent so many times, even gently, before the break.

IMHO if they can't respond to basic questions about something they want $$ for then how do you think their maintenance records are? Yes it is frustrating but it is what it has become. CL would be an excellent resource if everyone would use it appropriately. Ex. taking ads down when sold, putting up accurate contact information, decent pictures that show issue areas, etc. don't even get me started on the ads that at least say there is body damage on the drivers side but don't have any pictures of that side. (Hey, at least they told you it had damage before you took the time and $ to go look at something that isn't even remotely close to its description.

I have not given up and got both sellers to respond one with an email and his phone number...which of course no ones picking up and the other asks to be called over the weekend!!! Lets see how this all plays out. Thanks for everyone's input.

Whats the price?
Personally I'd never own a 6.0, but many people have and are headache free then there are stories of horror.
Looks very nice, a rather hard to come by option package.

If you do buy it and change the wheels I'd like to buy two center caps.

$17,800. Which is right at book value. If I go for it then I'll try to get them down some. Definitely not a steal but 2006 is the oldest I want to go and I want under 100k miles. Plus I want 4 captains chairs, which this already has.

I'm surrounded by friends/family that are Ford diesel mechanics.
