Fuso Truck Assembly

There are obviously different models being assembled here. I also saw a quick flash of a 4M50 engine, which I thought they stopped making about 10 years ago.

I was very surprised so much hand work was involved. Hand riveting, cutting, grinding. I thought all of that stuff would be automated. Why was the guy hitting the lug nuts with a hammer?

Well, someone has to!
Oh, and you can tell if a nut is tight or loose by the sound it gives off. That method is often used by vehicle inspectors when checking suspension U bolts.
But I will admit, it is not something I would expect to see happen on a vehicle production line.
