I may have to barrow your design. With my rear winch it could double as a rear door platform.
The gears are a grindin.........

Here is a pic of what not to do! Carried my Vstrom up north last summer. Carrier took it like a champ but there was a major problem loading and unloading. Was a 2 man job getting it up there and a 4 man job getting it off!

Here's an update on mine.

Came together pretty good I think.

Although the trail bike is in pieces.
Just a good reason to take the bikes on this trip. adapted easily. :ylsmoke:

Pretty slick there Ida. What did it end up weighing and what's the capacity?

Final weight snuck in under 65#

Proposed max load is a 125 swapped CT90, with a projected finished weight of 225# wet

Its pretty stout. but if I had to venture a max load rating, its probably in the 350-400lb range.

Certainly light duty enough that I wouldn't trust it to haul a big CC bike, indefinitely, with off road travel :)

Thanks.

Yes, the side entrance affords all kinds of benefits :)

Here are a few shots from the most recent trip.

Spent a good week and a half in central oregon.

Rack worked out fantastic.

Lightweight, and super easy to operate.

Bikes up high adds a pretty good level of theft security as well.

Thats what it IS designed for :)

Just do not have the moto together just yet.

Here is a photo early on to get things fitted correctly.

It will haul a little CT90. Resto-modded, with either a 125CC or 140CC swap.
