We value every one of your comments and take your feedback seriously. Expo is where we got our start and you guys are who we want to hear from. The Trasharoo has evolved further along for more than just trash. More and more people are using it to haul their gear and their supplies. More and more people are demanding more out of their accessories.

How would guys feel about a a new and improved "HD TRASHAROO"? Full mil-spec made out of Hypalon (same as Navy seal boats) material that will be stronger and last forever. Now, what if i told you it had new upgrades like compression straps with inner flap, stainless drain holes, Ykk Zipper, mil-spec webbing/buckles and a grab handle? On top of all this, what if it was all made right here in the USA?

Here's a sneak preview..

If that doesn't show you strength, i don't know what will. That's me, at 250 swingin' lbs. Overkill for a trash bag? Maybe, will it rip? No.

Right now, we have two prototypes were testing and beating the snot out of. One is with the US Smokejumpers on their truck and was partially developed just for them and their specs. They wanted it weather/dust proof (yes some dust can get in from the drain holes). They also wanted no frills and no nonsense, so the mesh pockets were eliminated. From that, you get what you're looking at today.

This new bag may be available as addition to our current bags in 2012. They would be limited run as well, made in small batches and they wouldn't be cheap. We're talking $200 a bag. But they also would no longer be generic quality any longer as well. We're kicking it up a notch. Just as the bags and cases we buy all day long because we want the best.

So we want to hear from you... You tell us, should we make them?

I like all the features of the HD bag, but don't need Hypalon. So maybe just a Coast Guard version instead of a Navy Seal version? LOL

I am finding the trasharoo to be more useful on trips, especially since we are taking more people recently. We use it exclusively to bring IN firewood and take OUT trash. I would love to see a version more like the original, but with stronger fittings and a little bit larger volume/opening (maybe 15%)

Thanks for being open to the suggestions. It has been fun to see such an innovative product do well.

Yes to a HD Trasharoo. I currently carry my PETT toilet in the trasharoo as well as our trash and what ever we find left behind by people . I would also like to carry our tent that we use for the PETT in it as well but the current trasharoo would sag to much with that much weight in it and it is not quite big enough either. So a slightly larger, stronger and non sagging Trasharoo would be cool. Don't need the mesh pockets and being made in the USA doesn't hurt either, thanks for listening to our input Dave.

A HD Trasharoo is just a natural "overlanding" evolution. The product works perfectly fine and is very near perfectly executed for its intended use...of course you should over build or way over build it to account for the .071 percent chance of field failure under the worst conceivable conditions.

Be cautious that you may choke out the original Trasharoo by launching the HD Trasharoo. Making a heavy duty version may introduce the misconception that original is somehow a sub standard product. You could lose some buyers of the original (who love the price point) when the HD is inevitably more expensive. Buyers may not be so quick to pull the trigger on an HD and skeptical of the original when comparing them side by side on a website. People who see them and handle them in person will not be skeptics.

Though I've only had it a year, the standard version has been working great for me! I am already surprised at how stout it is, as is everyone I have been able to show it to.

Are you designing the HD to a specific use case? Are people wearing them out?

PS- Thanks again for the club event support. You guys rock! (I think I fired off more Trasharoo "spotted" posed pictures for you in an email months back? )

My only comment is that the original is so good, I've never had the thought that it needed to be improved. I guess if mine were stolen, I might buy the HD version, but for now, the original model works well enough for my needs.

I don't just use mine for trash, but for anything I don't want in the car (firewood, clothes covered in mud, etc.)

Dave,

Before you offered the Trasharoo I bought the MSA trash bag from AU. Its made of 1600 denier and holds it shape very well. Having said that its showing its age and more than served its purpose; they don't use authentic Fastex buckles so they've gotten brittle and broken... And I'd like the extra storage area apart of your Trasharoo design. But I'd really like a heavier fabric version! And a dust free compartment to store a few frequently used trail tools...like my air hose would be perfect! USA made? Hell yes! My only question: When can I order one?

Thanks for thinking about improvements and/or alternate versions!

What he said. Firewood and trash hauling makes the trasharoo indispensable. More of it makes it priceless!

This was our thoughts to the "T". We don't need to knock out our other bags in the process.
