Thanks Chilli!

I took it across the scales on thursday, and removal of the bumper and flat deck freed up an amazing 1100 lbs of payload capacity! I was very happy to see that. My goal was 1000 lbs. The result of all that is I might actually be legal with the camper on now. I don't mind if I'm 100-200 lbs over, but the F350 was 2400 lbs over. I also want the option of flat towing the jeep, and this platform will be much safer when I do that.

Wow:Wow1:I did not think that a standard box was that much lighter than the flat deck. Sounds like things are coming together Redthies. I bet you hardly can wait for your first camping expedition...:)

The woman wants to be gone now! I was planning on doing a trial load of the camper today and move it from the wife's sisters house back to our place, but it is snowing! I am over it!
I have to fab some tie-down brackets, and see if I want airbags as well, but time is short these days. I'm doing a ton of 12-15 hour days, with more on the horizon. This coming week I will be hanging out with some Royal Marine/S.A.S. type guys filming a survival show.

With me in it 7392 lbs. I weigh 175 ish, so nice guess! And yes, tow mirrors will be added at some point, (not folded out unless the camper is on!!). How soon depends on how hard it is to see around the camper.

Haven't done a whole lot to the Dodge for a few weeks. I did notice a lot of vibration at highway speed so I took it on over to my friends shop and threw the front wheels on the balancer. One side was out by 2.5 oz, and the other by 5.5 oz. The tires are new Toyo M55s. I rebalanced them and drove away. Made it half a mile or so before stopping to talk to a couple of my electricians, looked down and noticed the new weights were already coming off the wheels. Dang. Drove back to buddies shop and took off all the weights and put 6.5 oz of beads in each tire. Magic! I should have done this along time ago. Smooth as can be now. I have plans to do a bunch of work on friday, so hopefully I can get rid of an oil leak, get airbags in, paint the wheels etc etc.
