net/mesh storage.

I was inspired by the net storage last night. So today I made this.

net-storage-3.jpg

Its made out of mesh and webbing, so I could put smaller/soft things up there like the kids ( I have 3 girls 7,3,1) winter stuff, extra hats, jacktes and gloves
In the summer PFD and what not.

I will do some video of it after we have put it to use this weekend.

I found a tailgate net from a compact truck that worked great for storing blankets and pillows. The best thing is by putting things up there, i wouldnt be sleeping in dog hair on trips. :victory:

:sombrero: I hate mud flaps, so I installed these little 8x4" black plastic to close the "gap" between the fender rear and the slider front--

See my door doesn't get any mud/snow/muck trails up the side-some guys like that look, I don't

Here's a shot of the spring carabinders I use to make the Raingler nets easier/quicker to install/remove-

The Dakar Look...

Wanting to keep the FSJ with out question street legal here in Ca. and liking the Dakar look so much I decided to save time sitting on the side of thehighway while Mr. Po Po looks at my truck. By throwing these giant mud flaps on the rig my hope is that it screams "Im Legal" and and Mr. CHP just drives by. We will see. For the record I haven't been stopped or ticketed for this. This is a preventive measure only. I put a couple hooks in the rear bumper and drilled some holes in the flap to put them up while off road. Actually I like them a lot now that I am used to seeing them. Should keep the expo trailer nice and clean as well.

Wanted a rear cargo "flat spot" in my 2006 LJ. My wife had picked me up a Bestop rear cargo "trunk" box that did not fit my rig,.... it was for a TJ. So in the spirit of modifications,..... I modded the mod:victory:.....

Here is a couple pics........

There are few other little things, like some more D-rings in the cargo area, and the cargo net which you can kinda see in the first picture. Lots of great ideas here though, I think I may just try to make one of those mesh/net attics. :ylsmoke:
