Something most overlook when planning out a swap is the never ending need for custom brackets. This particular bracket is to mount the throttle pedal to the fire wall. The pedal assembly is mounted on a spline and allows for the throttle pedal to be adjusted up and down, in an arc.

The brake pedal pad is mounted in the center of three positions. It can be moved 1" to the left or right. It can also be adjusted up to 1" closer to the driver.

ECU is mounted just below and to the right of the glove box. The 3 large connectors barley fit through the hole in the firewall.
Pre existing wiring in the back ground just clears!

Fuel lines are all in. Hard line from fuel filter/regulator along frame and on firewall behind motor. There are two sections of rubber line where it crosses frame/firewall and firewall/fuel rail.

Gates Power Grip hose clamps. Essentially, industrial heat shrink. I like them because they are clean, will conform to out of round ports and tighten with each heat cycle. I had a heater hose drip a little at the fire wall on start up on the last swap. I hit it with a heat gun and the leak was and has remained gone.

Trans cooler lines. Note break at bell housing, allows motor or trans to be pulled independent without cooler lines being a problem. Two brackets keep lines in place.

Yes, some very nice work here, for sure.

BTW - Stan, I used your pressure washing on the lift method for cleaning the underside of the truck I'm currently working on. It was scary, but worked great. Nothing in the shop got wet except the floor. Thanks!

I have been a slacker posting on this build of late....

Got the Lokar shift indicator programmed and mounted. A long way to go to see what gear you are in :)

When I pulled the covers off the steering column I found a mess of wire taps of varying types. This truck already has at least one security system, stereo system with AMP etc. That led to installing a buss panel in the driver's side kick panel. BAT, IGN and GRND are stand alone and brought in directly from two power poles on the LS3 fuse/relay box. The IGN is run through a relay that is fired by the OEM Ign circuit.

Upon start up I watched engine temps push up to 195-200 before the fans kicked in and between 210 and 215 before beginning to drop. I have done quite a bit of reading about cooling issues with the LS platform and the design of the water circulation system around the heater port and water pump area requires constant flow across the two heater ports on the motor to truly be efficient. Many are using a "U" hose across the two ports with success and swapping out to the heater hoses during the colder months. I could not expect a customer to have to deal with that twice a year. I found this heater valve, it has a small lever on the bottom side to move a valve from Winter to Summer.
Temps have dropped 12-15 degrees across the board.

The truck is up and running, a few little things left on the punch list. My wife is working on a video.
