How to seal a hard pop up?

I'm starting 'design' of a homebuilt truck camper. It will be popup. I've researched and thought about 3 major ways to do this: Fabric (either full popup or just one end), box-in-a-box (like Alaskan Camper), and A-frame.

I'm struggling to see how to get a very good seal on the box-in-a-box type popups. It needs to be water, bug, and dust proof when both lowered and raised. Anyone got pictures or drawings of how Alaskan Camper or others do it? Maybe the big RV's that have slide-outs do it right also?

There is already a pretty long thread I started a while ago on this topic. Try searching for the same words. Add lifting roof.

Good luck.

Thanks, found your thread. But...only 5 posts, and not much detailed info. I'll ping that thread to see if there's any life.
