Sorry if I missed it but will the top support a small roof rack? I'm thinking it could be positioned so that it's above the hood when the top is opened.

I've asked the same question and the answer appears to be no... which I can understand for hauling any kind of load, but for those of us who take kayaks and canoes it poses a bit of a problem.

The combo fridge and stove slide came out beautiful! It is form and function in a nice sleek package. The propane stove is custom built for the application with two high output burners. It will become a production item when we make the combo slide available. the fridge slide will work with ARB, Engel & National Luna models.

So is that little cubby behind the stove designed for the small little coleman propane bottles or ?

This is one of the most useful modifications I have seen in a long time.

Well done guys.

That IS one of the best mods I've seen awhile.

I like it. I love it.

I just got to see this first-hand a few hours ago. The dual-slide out is super-stout and a wonderful space-saver. I can't wait to drive this out to Hollister tomorrow! I plan on testing out the top of the drawer system by using it as a sleeping platform since I'll need to take a nap at some point to survive the long drive.

A place to store your lighter, salt & pepper etc. A 5 lb cylinder will be mounted inside.

I'll wake you up at the rest stop :)

Coleman stove controls and propane inlets are in the wrong place to work, that is why we had a custom stove built. No way around it because of the slides.

So did anyone think about possible installing a portable induction cooktop? They are thinner than your burner, cook 50% faster than gas or electric, are 90% efficient... and your vehicle is already running off an increased dual battery system.

Here is an example (one of many, just google):

Just a thought...

Not a good application. At 120VAC/300-1800 watt consumption, even the large 245 amp battery would be taxed. 120VAC appliances are not appropriate in a 12VDC environment. It is a good size however, again, the controls are in the wrong place to work.

Too soon to answer that question. It will be long term testing that will provide the answer.

Did I read correctly in that there will be a JK Unlimited version of this setup?

I would LOVE this to add to what I have already ordered!

:Wow1:

That combo fridge/stove slide is VERY slick and super convenient for preparing meals. I like how you have the controls on the end, it makes it easier to stand on either side and still use the stove.

I can't see any wind screens on the stove though, was that intentional, or did they just not make it into the pictures?

Beautiful work mate. I love that Fridge/Stove set-up. I'd love it even more if there was a way to make it fit my 1st Gen 4Runner eh ;) .

Keep up the amazing work.

Cheers

Edit: BTW is this a 3dr or a 5dr J8??? I didn't realize they came in a 5/4dr model (I like the 2/3dr model better but that's just the looks, I'm sure the 4dr helps with access eh)...
