Like the "snow picnic" setup. Nice weather last weekend! Tmrw looks good too. May try to mount the new ARB bullbar and OME 886 coils if I dare suddenly get "sick" and need to stay home to "rest".

4Runners looking good.
gotta love a snow picnic! Let me know if you need some help, I'm on unemployment this week.

Ill be working on it Monday if it doesn't snow. I could always use a hand lifting the Bullbar winch combo into place. 12k winch plus Bullbar equals too heavy for me. Plus you can check out the M101A2 and see how it fits behind the 4runner. Ill PM you my phone give me a call if your around.

I've been weighing my options between a '02 3rd Gen, and a '03 4th Gen; how are the plastic fenders/rocker panels holding up?

I've seen a few ‘03s but the plastic has always made me look back at the 3rd Gens due to the fear that they'll end up all faded and gouged.

They are great! No paint to chip off on the unpainted ones. No real fading or gouging from road debris.

I love your rig. Can you please provide some details on how you mounted your rack closer to the roof?

sorry i missed your post,

i took a piece of angle iron, cut the top down and used it as the bracket for the basket. i removed the stock cross bars. unistrut 3/8 spring nuts fit in the stock roof rails on the 4th gen. hope that helps, i might have some pics somewhere.

Been camping a bunch lately! almost every weekend.
Lake Chelan, took the trailer with the boat on top, great weather. took the boat to a little beach down the lake so the dogs and kid could roam around and play.

Base camp at chelan

a spot outside of leavenworth wa, that we used to stay at all the time before we had the kid, hadnt been bak in about 4-5 years, but it was still there! bit chilly still as its way up in the mountains.

been a while since i updated here....

went and had a picknick and played in the snow.

Went and did some snow camping as couple weekends ago, was a ton of fun. Stayed one night in easton, and one in wenatchee. no one else around either place.

Ate lots of delicious food and played in the snow!

kid had fun, lots of sledding!

Dogs had fun.

This weekedn we drove down to Mt Bachelor in Oregon, 732 miles round trip, with lots of elevation difference. got about 11.5 MPG overall. truck did fine but up the big hills is killer.....

camped in the parking lot for 3 nights, was really nice. $10 a night and get to sleep in and still be first few people up the mountain. Daughter had a lot of fun in ski school too!!

skiing waether was awesome, there was an temp inversion, so ti was sunny and clear, got to about 14 at night and was about 50 and sunny by the end of the day.

Nice build Java! Seems like you are getting the most out of your truck. Did you ever have any vibration issues when you mounted the HID's to the factory bumper?

Nick, yes they did bounce a bit. Not as bad as you might think but they did bounce. I had the mounts bolted thru the skin and into the inner "strengthening" piece.
