Update: Watch a time-lapse movie of the bolt-on conversion. I think the kit pictured above is the weld-on kit.

That's nice and all...

...but why not really commit and sell an honest-2-God J8, pick-up option, leaf springs in back, big axles, diesel, etc...?

Or bring back the Comanche.

I miss my old truck (now sold) -here's a picture; bed long enough to put a tent back there (or camper shell)!

It would be cool if that flat floor piece was available by itself as a kit for JKU folks who just wanted to pull the rear seats out.

I really like the idea but to me the execution is ugly. I hate the little window on the side of the cab. It doesn't match the lines of the truck.

Brute is better, simply because the bed is larger and more useable.

I'd rather use those side panels and floor kit to make my 4 door a troop carrier style with non removeable taller hard top rear barn door and bench seats in back.

If only...I don't want a body kitted JKU...but a Jeep truck capable of doing some actual work while still maintaining a smaller size than a fullsize pickup.

This thing is perfect for the guy who wants a J8 without all the annoying coolness that goes with it.

^^ haha
i would use the side panels if i wanted a jk version of the LJ or CJ8. the Brute IMO does look better, but it isnt priced the same. but its for a TJ which is all around a much better wrangler than a JK again IMO. guess one day ill have to build my own version of a J8 but better, or a brute :D

I mid-sized version of the Power Wagon.
I really like my PW but it's just too big for my needs and taste. It's not me...

Exactly...What I want is to morph my Tundra and my LJ into one all purpose vehicle. Something that would have the kahunas to work all week and the smaller profile to trapes through the boonies during the weekends.
