As best I know, you can't. Costco (justifiably, I assume) has liability concerns that keep it from letting you put in non-OEM sizes. Of course, if there's another vehicle that does have the size you want, you can use that.Stupid question, but how do you get past the online search at costco.??? I can't get anything but factory replacement sizes.

Once your tires arrive at the Costco store, you are not home free because they won't mount your tires if the tire shop manager doesn't want to sign off on them. But you can, of course, pick them up and take them someplace else. Don't forget to get a refund of the $60 you paid on line for mounting and balancing on line.
I believe that attitudes vary from store to store, but there are by-the-book wusses mking the decisions at my closest Costco. Last year, they refused to put 225/65R16s on a friend's truck SUV came stock with 235/16R16s.
Tire Rack is often not far of off Costco's prices and sometimes also gives good discounts on ocasional tires. Regardless, the Tire Racks sizing and review information is comprehensive, so going to http://www.tirerack.com is always a good first step regardless of where you're going to buy. Discount/America's Tires also are commonly close to Costco's pricing.
I may be making a trip out to Cerritos to pick some tires up from onlinetires.com.
I should be able to fit a second set of tires at least. If anyone in Phoenix wants to split gas costs to avoid paying shipping on a set shoot me a PM. :smiley_drive:
onlinetires pricing is almost unbelieveably low. Does anyone have any experience buying tires from these guys? How are they with respect to having product in stock, shipping times, and so on?

Well, my local dealer says KM2's in 255/85/16 are on national backorder right now. Doesn't know when they will come off backorder.
He said he could get some from a supplier in another state, but they would cost over $20 more a tire + $27 freight a tire, than they would direct from his normal BFG order.
Anybody buy these lately? Anyone have any knowledge of what going on? Online sources maybe?
Thanks in advance!
Yeah, the price of the tires is low, but consider the other associated costs with buying tires. Mounting and balancing will be another $50-$100, then you get to pay for it all over again when you want to rotate and balance your tires. What about when you get a slow leak from a drywall screw in your tire? If you buy from a Costco or Discount you take your tire in and they fix it. If you didn't buy it form there you are going to be out some $$$. Right now you can get a $60 rebate, so for the BFG's it brings the price down to 840. Then you sign up for their interest free account and get another $50 off. Now you are down to $790 OTD for a set of 255/85's. Only $50 more than onlinetires.com and the tires are already mounted and balanced on your truck. If you can either mount and balance the tires yourself for free, or not have to pay for shipping then buying online for tires works.
