Here's one you may enjoy. It was designed specifically for a LE friend of mine for on duty use. 11 1/4" overall in length and a 6" blade made of hand forged differentially hardened high carbon steel make this a serious tool for hard use. It's pretty too, lol!

The hamon, acid etched? brass guard, and black handles make the very unique. Almost apocalyptic looking. Great job!

Thank you all for the kind words. @RTF. The Hamon is polished out to 800 grit and acid etched and then lightly polished once more with 00 steel wool as he requested a darker blade. The guard is copper which has been antiqued using liver of sulpher. This knife was forged from 1/4" 1075 carbon steel so she will definitely take some abuse when necessary. This design will become a regular offering to be customized as I see fit, or as per client request.

This little clip point hunter turned out pretty good I think.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday, when I saw this post ... particularly, that the blade on that knife (post #495) might look pretty nice on the knife in post #488.

Thank you gentlemen. I recently renovated my etching tanks to accommodate longer blades, so you may yet see a nice acid etch on some of my bigger knives. I really need to do a tumbled finish and post a pic or two here for some input as well.

I really appreciate seeing the work you guys are doing, some talented folk on here.

FR, I'm a big fan of the Canvas Micarta and have several with that material. If it was good enough fore Loveless, it's good enough for the rest of us!

I agree, it's a very durable material and feels great in the hand. For those preferring something a bit more natural or traditional wood is hard to beat, such as this one, which features Spalted Maple scales with a bronze guard and Black G-10 liners.
