Tell me more about that rear tire carrier. I've been considering something like that for a while.

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

my son and I built it last summer
I'm glad you like it, thanks
we used a hitch extension as the base for our design
2X2X1/8" square tubing for the upright
& all flat stock was 3/16"X2

here was my original idea, to save you going back through who knows how many pages here

I hope that helps if not let me know
& it folds down for rear access

Hello,

I've owned this fullsize for almost one year. 2001 Superduty 7.3 ZF6 with a Four Wheeler pop up. Just got home from The Teton's, Yellowstone, the Bear Tooth Highway and some other places.

Here are some more pictures of our most recent trip.

Drove 3500 miles in 10 days from Northern California, 80 through Nevada, north to Idaho, east to Yellowstone and the Teton's and as far north as Billings, to satisfy my wife's desire for a shower after driving the Bear Tooth Highway. Spent 4 nights in Yellowstone, 2 nights in Teton National Park, and a few other places. Drove through Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and Montana. We saw 7 Bears, a Moose with her newborn, countless Bison, Eagles, Pronghorn, and many other animals. We heard a wolves while staying in the Teton's which was really cool but we didn't see any. Crowds weren't as bad as I anticipated, probably because we beat the busy season at Yellowstone by a week or two, apparently.

I think I recognize that truck, is it 24hoursofnevada's old truck?

I have an 02 f350 7.3 auto. I no longer have the Northstar

The seller lived in NV so it could have been him. I came across his ad on Craigslist and the seller told me he had posted a for sale ad on this forum. Nice looking truck you got there. Why did you get rid of the Northstar?

I got rid of the Northstar when I moved to a new house and have a years worth of new projects to do. Now that I am getting settled i'm starting to think of a camper again.

The Northstar was nice, but a little heavy. I might build a hard side camper, I want something that is only as wide as the truck bed and simple inside. My first attempt was ok but could have been built out better.

My first attempt.
