I don't think Goodyear makes those MTRs in a 16.5 any longer, do they? I can't find them. :(

I don't believe so. I don't think they make them in any common sizes since the MTR Kevlars have replaced them. You may still be able to find the old style MTRs from a military supply place, though (just make sure they're the MTRs, not MTs).

Figure I ought to post this here too.

Here's my 2001. Silverado with a 5.3L, 14 bolt full floater out back (shaved and has grizzly locker), Dana 60 front, 4.56 gears, 14" travel Bilstein 5150s, New 52" leaf springs up front, factory 63" springs out back with AAL and shackle flip (overload removed), NP241 Transfer Case (soon to be a 241-241 doubler) and 37" MTRs on H2s.

Still working on outfitting it for expeditions/long off road trips, but it currently has a toolbox full of tools capable of replacing any part of the truck (except for internal engine and transmission parts), water storage, inverter, full size spare, tent, emergency blankets and first aid, etc.

Plus a half decent stereo for those long highway rides :p

Nice looking truck with some serious beef added.

Thanks, that was the whole idea with running the Dana 60 up front. Not only is it beefy, but it can be taken entirely apart with simple hand tools due to the kingpin knuckles and many spindle parts (bearings, seals, etc) are shared with the 14 bolt out back so I have redundancy in parts. It cost a little bit more (probably close to $700-1000 more) than running a dana 44 would, but its just that much stronger and worth it so I don't get stranded somewhere.

Eventually it will get 35 spline stub shafts and Yukon locking hubs (strongest locking hubs on the market right now) since it will be my winter DD and I don't want drive slugs necessarily. That should make it bulletproof if I don't do any engine mods, which I dont plan to.

I finally got a little bit of work done to mine, mainly maintenance stuff, but every little bit helps. Got the new wheels on, more to come!

My last full size Chevy... sold it to buy a Jeep

Currently saving for another full size Chevy pickup, hopefully by next summer. Not sure what it will be, can't decide!

Why oh why did you sell that nice 2 door to get a Jeep? :D I've got both: a 95 2 door and a 97 Wrangler. I'm thinking of selling the Wrangler and use those funds to spruce up the 2 door.

I find myself leaving the Jeep at home more and more. It just can't compare to the power, comfort, and cargo-carrying capacity of the 2 door.
