like you said, more off road oriented, not expo, lots and lots of money has been spent on that truck

That truck is leading a very unhealthy lifestyle.

It looks like a zebra crashed into a rolling vanity and somebody tried to clean up the mess with a Jegs catalog.

We all screwed things up a bit when we were young, and became wiser for it.

over.

I think EE covered this topic extensively. I hate these type of threads.
Gawd! Always someone has to ruin the party.
Hate something.....don't read it. I happen to like silly stuff. Takes the pressure off of the everyday. this ain't no dress rehearsal....might as well enjoy it. :wings:

I like the fact that he actually uses it!!

I have a lot of local wheelers ask me why my '02 FX4 isn't lifted/big tires/bumpers/etc.

I answer: "Why? I drive it to Home Depot and the cabin! I'd rather drop the money into my Jeeps, which I use!!

I drive my Jeeps wherever I'm heading, whether it's Moab for a week of wheeling, or CO for a few weeks of running the mountain passes.

Only thing I tow with my truck is the tractor:snorkel: And stock form works just great for that!

i always get ask why and told to lift mine, ok if you want to drop that kinda of money for me, go ahead, its not a trail rig, and i like driving it, try driving a couple hours through the mountains with big honkin mud tires, plus i dont feel like fixing bearings and ball joints every 6 months with huge tires on my D44, i feel ya on that

So, as for the main topic :costumed-smiley-007

Drive your vehicle in stock form for a year or longer. Take it offroading with experienced folks who can guide you. Learn the limitations and thus the true need for little if any modifications.

Hard to believe it was 13 pages before someone chimed in that a CB is great to have on the interstates. I haven't found anything better for knowing what is up regarding anything having to do with traveling on the highways -- highway shutdowns due to weather, openings, stopped traffic, where the ticket issuing servants are, closed exits, rest stops, etc. The things are a highway public information system.

Then there is the logging roads. Ever been hit by a logging truck? They stop for NO ONE coming down the mountain, get a CB.
