He can take that $100 and go buy some more lights! Even trophy trucks don't have that many lights!

Different strokes for different folks. I am sure he loves his Ford.

Anyone else do the vacuum tube snorkel mod? Looks promising. . .:snorkel:

Impressive climb. I could tell the lights 12 thru 18 were key to getting over the top! :Wow1:

But joking aside, this video was taken somewhere requiring some lights. That cloudy/fog like stuff sure aint AZ.

He lives in Socal and goes out to Gorman (Hungry Valley), Wildomar, Azusa Cyb rv play area and so on. He dropped 3 grand on for a Roush stage 3 supercharger for something like 500+ ponies. He just isn't into expedition style offroading is all. :ylsmoke:

Ugh. Worst mistake you'd ever make. Don't let anyone else's opinion sway you like that. Make up your own mind. The CB will take 30 minutes to put in correctly, won't take up that much space, and just might come in handy.

I agree. My CB comes in handy from time to time. i still intend to install a 2M, but quite often on the trail, CB is the most common denominator for radio communications. However, I have to say that my most common use for my CB is actually on the highway on cross country trips, when the traffic is completely jacked up. I turn on 19 and listen to the truckers cross talk about what's causing it and recommendations to bypass. it's actionable information. It's at those times that I look at cars beside me and say to myself "it must really suck to not know what's going on". Those are the times I love my cb.

The conversation actually has me wondering if it is possible to amplify a CB transmission using a car stereo amplifier? Might be a way to boost the signal if you find the need to get it out a long way in an emergency...
An audio amplifier will not work with RF signals, the frequencies are completely different.

I like the fact that he actually uses it!!

I have a lot of local wheelers ask me why my '02 FX4 isn't lifted/big tires/bumpers/etc.

I answer: "Why? I drive it to Home Depot and the cabin! I'd rather drop the money into my Jeeps, which I use!!

I drive my Jeeps wherever I'm heading, whether it's Moab for a week of wheeling, or CO for a few weeks of running the mountain passes.

Only thing I tow with my truck is the tractor:snorkel: And stock form works just great for that!
