Thinking there is an order for system design here

- Detection of faults that would cause vehicle to become immobile
- Failure modes and remediation for end point design (33" tires, Johnson Rods, 18" wheels, etc). How do I keep that end point mobile? Bump stops, redundant air lines, ......
- Then modify vehicle for end point. (last step)

Don't start with the final step and work backwards.

I agree and I think there is a logical progression planned. The 17" wheels would be a good change with or without increasing overall tire diameter. So I can completely support them as the first announcement and product developed.

How about working up a group buy!!

Lucky8 is open to the possiblity of a group buy. Ping his LR3 build thread. I don't know how serious it is yet. I can't commit without pricing really. Hopefully there is a "if we have 5 orders = x$ each, 10 = y$ each, etc." type approximation. I do love the looks of that bumper.
