Making Jerky, with tenderizer?

I've been experimenting with making jerky, and advice I've found online includes not to put salt on it.

However, I've been toying with the idea of putting meat tenderizer on it. I see that the McCormick’s meat tenderizer we have in the cabinet lists salt as an ingredient.

Anyway, anybody use tenderizer on their jerky?
 
yup, tenderizer or salt.. most of the time i actually tenderize the meat in a ziplock bag with a "secret" mixture of things for a couple of nights. :D
