MAN 9136 FAE 4WD. Our new camper truck

Does anyone make an aftermarket turbo setup for these motors?

Not that I amaware of, I have done a lot of research on this vehicle. I talked to the technical manager at the MAN shop in town and he would not recomend putting a turbo on it. Some other "experts" claim that it could easily get 200 horsepower out of it with a turbo.

Here in Europe there is some options of turbos for this engine (or at least one). I can not remember the brand but I will take a look and I will post it. I meet a guy that put a turbo on his Magirus and he told me that the same turbo is available to be mounted on the MAN engine.

I'm not in favor of mounting a turbo in an aspirated engine. You should to reinforce some engine parts like cranks or cooling sistem (in turbo engines they are oversized) and other vital parts. But if you need power this is the simplest and fastest way.

What rpm do you get at 80 km/h with those tires. I got 9r22.5 on mine and have 3000 revs at 80 km/h. Will buy new ones but not sure what kind yet.

STIG:)

I don't know the revs at 80, but I drive at 3000 at 90km/h, the maximum speed available for trucks in Spain. So I gather that I drive at 80km/h to about 2600 revs.
