Based on your response, I take it that it's not possible to setup the bed if you don't remove the seats...Bummer! I thought just maybe you could inflate it with the rear seat folded forward, then the air bed would just stick out a little bit more toward the tailgate.

Cheers,
Salue

Salue, With this particular air mattress it will not work with just the seats folded forward. This mattress has cutouts for the wheel wells, its meant for a truck bed. You could use an inflatable mattress as suggested, but the hatch and tailgate would be open and you may have overhang with the mattress. I would suggest building a platform for your application. Assuming you need the second row seats. :)

My brush with death... Postponing Laurel Lakes

Its amazing how life is taken for granted and within a moments notice your life as you know it can end.

I drive what is probably one of the most dangerous commutes to work in America; the 405 in SoCal. Its been a little over 1 year since we've moved here and thanfully without incident no vehicular accidents, until this Sunday driving home from work. Makes me wonder whats more dangerous my job or my commute to and from work. From my house to work is around 30+ miles one way, for a 60+ mile roundtrip with 95% on the 405. Was it a matter of time or just bad timing? I wont go into the details of the accident, but some folks need to pay more attention or just stay off the road all together. I'm thankful no one was seriously injured considering the rate of speed traffic was flowing. I'm thankful that my family wasn't with me during that mess. I'm thankful that I decided to drive my Prius that day rather than the LC (the 2 airbags saved me). And I'm thankful to be alive.

These pics look uneventful and somewhat minor, but trust me it was a miracle.

What I'm taking from this is to just try and enjoy every day to the max with my family, I'm going to take in all that life has to offer with my family, and just be happy for all that I'm truly blessed with. Life is to short to let it pass you by. I still have so many memories left to make with my family. On a happier note, Stay tuned for some PM and upgrades to the LC I'm going to be on leave for the next 3+ weeks :)

where did you get your front mud flaps? I have a 100 series and would really like to get a pair that will fit it right. Yours look great! I'm not a rock crawler either, so no worries.

Good thing you were alone at the time. Glad to hear you're okay.

Can the Prius be repaired or is it a totaled?

Thanks Guys. I am still in awe that I walked away with no significant injuries. My chest is better and my necks getting there. I'll be head banging in no time.:punk03: My insurance agent called today and said, that the Prius is a total loss. We were kinda expecting that considering the very visible signs of buckling at the frame. Our Prius is what helped to offset the mpg of the LC, it's My wifes car and my commuter.

Lax Thank you, I picked my front mud flaps up at CruiserParts.net. Not sure if front mud flaps are available for 100 series, but I'm sure someone will chine in and point you in the right direction or do a search on mud.

PM wise, Stay tuned for 1FZFEPHH PHH (I have both the blue silicone and the work around, not sure which one to do yet), FHH, 3 oem radiator hoses with 1FZ-FE Breeze Radiator Hose Clamp Replacement Kit, 3 oem belts, AJIK 80 Series Modified Toyota Blue Fan Clutch, oem thermostat, radiator flush and fill with Toyota red, oem pcv valve and hoses, and oem windshield washer fluid pump and nozzles.

Aesthetically speaking my plans are to blackout the hood following the contoured lines, line x my flares and lower quarter panels, and apply some stickers.

My ARB bumper, IronMan 1" front coil spacers, Safari snorkel, and Hella lights should be arriving within the week.

Since were down to one vehicle, I will have to plan the work accordingly as time and how I feel permits. If I can accomplish all of this while I'm on leave and considering the unforeseen situation, I will be very very stoked.:)

San O

With as cramped and crowded as San O is how could you ever have a bad day there.

IMG_6552.jpg

We opted for staying in a cabin this time around rather than one of the RV spots. The cabin is nice with all the amenities of home, but its just not the same as camping. You can't beet the view of the cabins though. May I recommend cabin 25 for the most amazing view and lack of neighbors on your left side.

The first day was clean and 2-4 while the next had a super duper low tide and 1-3. With two days solid of surfing I'm definitely healed.

Boys liked the shallow tide playing in the rocks. Me in the background about to hit a small lip.

Any one care to share any spots to surf and camp here in California?:)

I'm pretty sure I saw you driving down the main drag in Seal Beach tonight. I was eating at the Thai place and saw your 80 drive by, noticed the awning, and then thought that was a NICE 80. Then I realized it was probably you.

1" Iron Man coil spacers

My 1" Iron Man coil spacers needing install... so I had my morning coffee :coffeedrink: and went to work.

IMG_6619.jpg

This is my third time removing my front coils and I hope it will be my last for awhile.

IMG_6633.jpg

My goal is to remain at or just under 3.5" of total front suspension lift. With a front bumper my 295's will fill nicely. When it's time for new tires, I'm not sure yet with what size I will go with... 255, 285, 305, 295, or 315's. BFG, Toyo, Goodyear or Hankook. MT or AT. The all to common 80 series tire conundrum.

IMG_6644.jpg

Anyone guess what this is?

IMG_6646.jpg

Planning on installing it this weekend.

Overall I'm very happy with the quality and additional height the spacers provided. The stinkbug effect is very very minimal now and the blue color also provides a nice contrast. :)
