Dayummm! That looks killer. :)
Can't wait to get mine on. Sorry I had other priorities this weekend. At least it let you get more time on your van! ;)

I'm not sure at this point how complete a "kit" I will be offering. I just know that I'll have some extras in this batch and can easily make more. Once I have it sorted out on my van I'll decide how I want to package it. If there's any interest out there please let me know. This is something I hope to have on my van in a few weeks. My tear down date for the Cummins transplant is soon approaching and I want to knock out some products before summer.

Very interested. Van shopping now and would prefer to start with a newer low mileage passenger van, which means RSC, but $6500 minimum price for a RSC compliant axle is a budget blower. Have heard it is easier to solve with the 05 and up axle.

MG,

Are there options for grill protection with that bumper?

BTW, looks great!

Thanks,
Brent

ARB makes a bull bar option for this bumper. I'm not in love with the looks of it though. Eventually I'll build something for myself, it's low priority right now.

Here's a pic of the ARB bar...

Had a lovely appointment with a 300 ton Amada CNC press brake this morning....

The result:

For all the variables involved, I'm pretty stoked at the outcome. My CAD model is a 2013 model year, the mock up frame is a 2005, these are pretty complicated parts to form with some interdependent features that make things even tougher to get right...Not an easy task to get perfect the first time. All in all though, I have parts that will work (with a tiny bit of massaging) and progress can move forward.

BTW... before anyone asks... The small tabs on the ends of the parts are features I add in to the laser cut files so we can have a flat surface parallel to the bend line to set up against the back gauge on the press. Without something to gauge off of, you have a really hard time with accurate and repeatable bends. Once the parts are formed, you can snap the tabs off with pliers or knock them off with a grinder.
