The great cross member rebuild of 2016 is finished.
The cut out up towards the steering box is where my new trac bar mount will meet up with the cross member.

Completely unrelated to the van build, but I'm working on my charcoal cooking skills on your aluminum BBQ tonight. I get tons of questions any time I use it somewhere so I'm trying to make my stuff look better.
Jeremy you oughta pitch this BBQ to Gretchen and Taylor for their rental.

A good idea. I asked MG to build larger units to use a communal fire pits, but he's too busy swapping in a big azz diesel, making 4x4 kits, poptop design, etc.

Dearly beloved...we are gathered here today to marry these two spectacular pieces of machinery in holy HELL YEAH!!! Damn I've waited a long time for this day!
The Allison gettin' all gussied up with the torque converter in place...
Made up a quick cart today for the newlyweds. My shop is so small, I have to have a way to move things around without any help.
Oh yeah!!! They make a beautiful couple!

I've been lurking for a while.
I'm one of those guys who thinks nothing is impossible, all it takes is time to figure it out, work slowly and do it clean.
However, the latest posts make me feel really dumb. Like "go live a cave" dumb.
I'm floored at how this is coming along. Really nice fab work. Scratch that- really nice all around.
It's been a pleasure to watch the progress. Thanks for the updates.
