Looking for the NSN

Anyone here have an NSN (National Stock Number) for this FF? I'm hoping to find a TM (Tech manual) for it...? Google was no help.

The fridge should have an operators instruction manual as well as a cd and multiple cables for DC and A/C included and inside the fridge. Even comes with a screw driver to hook up the batteries. These are not military only- any one willing to pay $8900 can have one from the manufacturer in Ohio.

I have been building a Sankey military trailer into a camping trailer and have come to the realization that the series truck roof I'm modifying to use as a lid isn't going to clear the fridge. I have my fridge-the original one that started this thread that I will part with for $650 plus shipping I have used it on two weekend long outings and it's been great but not getting the use out of it I invisioned and its not going to fit in the new trailer.

I'm down with op...uh, nevermind. LOL

Wow...
Seems like these work well but don't fit anywhere...haha. Go figure. I have been doing a little info gathering myself and it looks like mine may end up in the trailer as well. Don't think it will fit in my Scramblers bed...haha..Unless I get out the plasma torch and modify the rear fender wells a little. Not opposed to doing just that but still have to bring it all together to know for sure what I'm working with.
110* Would you mind sharing any (and all!:sombrero:) pics you have of it. By itself, in the 110...trying to make it fit...heck, even cooling a brew in the garage? I can't get anything but the two from the manufacturers website to make me happy...:(
And is it a true 39"x 23"Wx 22.5"H??
Thanks...

Yes thats the true size. I don't have any pictures of it in my old 110. It would fit fine in my current truck which is a 1.25 ton crew cab but I use/used mine from a trailer and my new trailer bed is just too shallow to work. Yes those are the true dimensions and the weight is a tad over 140lbs. The only mod I made to mine was to toss the blood plasma baskets and take a large flat bread crate (similar to milk carton crates) and cut it up to make a floor. this keeps cans and food up off the tru floor and allows the cold air to flow freely up through the contents.

pics...?

I'd still like any pics you'd be willing to share. Also...has anyone used one of these in a military 1/4 ton trailer? Do they fit in these?

Hello Ted,
If you still need more pics then you can click on my sig line link called "Gear". I you have any further comments maybe you should post there instead of the for sale section. Good luck with everything.

Oddly enough due to this thread a couple of us were contacted by Accutemp/Hemacool. They want to buy back 5 of their fridges for "testing" and are willing to pay 800-1000 for "servicable" units. I'm considering selling mine back. Does anyone else that bought one of these want to profit by selling back to the manufacturer for the $1000 "scrap" value ? They want 5.

Testing? Or refurb and sell them back to the military at a hefty profit ;)

Curiously "shady"...

Something there smells funny.?. My guess is either they are interested in selling them back to the military (big surprise) or maybe they are looking to branch out and give the other FF manufactures a run for the money? Though at their original cost you could buy what...10-15 ARB's or Engles??? LOL!
I'll keep mine thank you very much...well, once I actually get hold of it!:wings:

Not really a concern of mine. The guy's title @ Accutemp is Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Cold Chain Consultant

The units say right in the owners manual to plug them in every 4 months to recharge the batterys if you don't use the unit. I didn't and now the batterys seem to be dead. The unit still works flawlessly. I can hardwire it for 12v or run it on the inverter but the battery pack was what made it special. I'm looking @ 2 new gel acid batterys or selling it for a proffit so they can run tests that per his email will end up destroying the units. If someone here wants it for the same money I'd prefer to do that. Kind of like having a really cool car and selling it to a movie production company who's already told you they are going to blow it up. He needs 5 units to do his testing. Anybody else?

Anybody else?

Not me, I went on four trips this summer with it and I simply love it! I worked out a nice method of using them with two of my vehicles when I have available power and when I don't. My 80 charges it up great and I am looking into doing a solar hook up for other options.

I do keep the batteries charged per recommendations and they keep a charge nicely and charge up very quickly. They appear to be close to what they use in UPS systems so if you had to replace it wouldn't be very hard or expensive.

The other portable fridge/freezers out there are very nice but this one has a big added feature of running on its own. I kind of get a chuckle at one advertisement where the girl has the fridge sitting on the top of the sand dune and I'm thinking “well… now its not running”.

I agree, I would hate to have them just destroy it when they are done “testing”.
