My first mod was to move the Redarc controller to a more accessible location. I'm looking at the best way to have an 110 volt option for the heater. I could run another Noco plug through the wall of the trailer or figure out how to get a cord into the battery box. I might be able to get a cord through where the CAT5 cable came up through the floor .

Cheaper to get a bigger gas tank and buy gas. A supercharger will cost over 5K plus installation then even less gas mileage. That is a lot of gas to buy.
You are right about gas, especially now that it looks like petroleum will soon be selling for $10 per barrel. But I am looking for more power. $5 K is cheaper than getter another vehicle to fix up.

Can you go into a bit of detail on how you plan on mounting and using them. This is intriguing.

Both replace the current piece of 1 1/2 inch pipe and screw onto the bottom of the sink. One has a hose and a cap and the other a hose would be needed. It has a standard 3/4 " garden hose fitting.

I want to have a setup where I can use the sink for small stuff, like hand washing or bottle filling, without having to hook up a drain hose. Can just drain straight down or, even better, at a slight angle away from my feet. I was thinking about using a right-angle fitting and having it go out the opposite vertical sheet. Adding a quick connect to that so I can direct into a bucket or simply away from the area when camped for a longer period would be perfect.

These guys seem to have the largest selection of plumbing stuff:

Missing from the shore power connection was the AC power to the water heater/furnace. So I fixed that today. I was hoping to utilize the hole where the CAT5 cable dropped into the floor but the angle and insulation was too much for the thick AC cord.

The plug on the heater required an adapter .

I drilled out a larger hole and the cord passed through easily. I brought he cable up into the battery box using an existing hole and plugged it into the shore power plug.

I'll seal everything up with silicone. Next up is to see if I can get AC into the cabin without any major modifications.

Some work on the trailer. Grab handles to get in, external solar motion lights , flag, carpeting and rear European trailer reflectors

I've also been making a bunch of modifications over the past few weeks.

Completely replaced the main electrical system, including a new battery box, added a 600W DC supply to charge the battery bank when sunlight is not sufficient, more robust fridge plug, selector switches for solar 1, 2, DC supply, master disconnect. Deleted the inverter, for now, I may added it back later:

The solar charge controller is a Bogart unit, paired with the battery monitor that is in the cabin. I also put a LED light on the ceiling of the box, so I could sit and marvel at my handiwork. :)

Added some of that foam tile with outdoor carpeting laminated to it, as well as a small piece of doormat (not shown in picture):

IMG_0519.jpeg

Added voltage regulators to the Maxxfan and Propex furnace circuits so I can let the solar controller maximize the lifetime of the Trojan batteries by taking them up to the maximum voltage:

Some wiring cleanup remains to be done…

I see Mark liked my Lagun table install a whole lot.

I added a pair of directly wired and dedicated cig plugs to power laptops when using it as an office:

Last fall I added the 200W of solar panels to the roof:

Next on the work list is to add a couple of rocker switches and a 12v socket inside each of the kitchen slide out compartment doors to control the water pump, the side floodlights individually, and allow an outside awning lamp to be used. I'm going to use a relay to allow the interior switch to control both outside floodlights while they can be controlled individually from each side. The pump switch is going to be in the kitchen, because that seems way better than having it in the cabin.

A.

@carbon60, can you post a pic of the whole roof? Solar will be one of the first things being added.

I used Renogy Eclipse panels with their plastic mounting brackets and 3M VHB (a specific product) to mount them.
