I have a set of the hankooks shown in the test. 35x12.5. on a '93 montero. Got them siped to help with winter traction. Absolutely the best tire I've ever owned!!! These things do it all. Quiet on the road, good in the mud, rocks snow rain, etc...outlasted 3 other vehicles. have roughly 60-70 k on them. will be replacing them with EXACTLY the same tire. My wheelin buddies are also converts after witnessing what thes can do. One fellow actually traded in his brand new swampers for a set, and loves them.( if u haven't got the idea yet...I and others LOVE these tires)

Depending on what model of Interco's they were (SX's for example) I'm assuming that he traded them away to gain a more road friendly tire?

he was running the ssr's. liked them well enough off road and snow, bit after chasing me up a mountain, through a bit of everything, including tarmac, he was convinced. we both run similar buggies. he has a 4runner, i have a montero. the 4runner undercarriage clearance aside he did well, but I was trail buster and had to pull him twice. 1 week later he was properly shod and after raising his gas tank we went further up the same trail through he same conditions and he went everywhere I did. I'll get him onto this awesome site and let him tell the story. But yes he did like the road friendliness of the hankooks.

I agree. I have the same tires, and they are great. Same 35x12.5x18 on an 18x9.5 wheel....Not sure if a 37 is available, but if so, that is the tire I am going to next.
