I'm having a hard time figuring out what the photo of the drill is showing. I assume your drilling a hole for the airbags, but I'm abit confused by the jigging that appears to be attached.

I really like this build! I have plans for a similar version but specifically to carry tools.

I'm very curious as to the weight of the bare trailer.

Also what Axle did you go with?

Keep going this is awesome.

Thanks

The blue jig is just to keep the bit strait as it goes through the square tube. The thing with the chain is a drill cheater, its basically just leverage for your drill. It make it really easy to drill through thicker material.

You can choose what fitting, what size, how many and where u want them. They were a very good company to work with. Just let them know its for drinking water.

Yes I did. I have access to a lot of good equipment at work. I had a buddy at work draw it up on the computer and then I cut them on the laser and bent them up on the press brake.

So I had to change the wheel studs to metric this morning, this way it's the same lug nuts as the tow vehicle.
Now I have one of the trailers in a rolling chassis.

Always like having matching wheels tow vehicle and trailer. Looking good and coming along nicely. Didnt have any fitment issues going from the 1/2 studs to the 12mm did you? I am going to have to swap mine out also.

No. I have a good buddy that works for Les Schwab, and I just showed him what I had and what I need and he made it work. It was all stuff that had in stock, so no special order stuff.

Ya the rolling chassis is about 320-350 lbs. I put some scales under each tire and the tongue, tongue weight is 60 lbs, and each side was 130-140 lbs. The scales were fluctuating a little bit but this is a good estimate.

Nice build

So many questions I don't know where to begin. Can you adjust the toe in on your trailer? If so how do you do this? Are the cad drawings available for your swing arm atachments available? How long are your swing arms? What strengh are your axels? How does your trailer tow? How much weight do you carry in your trailer? How did you get the taper on your hitch? Do you have a bushing in your hitch that the inner rod turns in?

I will have to say your trailer is one of the finest examples of workmanship I have seen on these pages. I am jelous of your brother.
Please get back to me if you would. I would be very proud to have a trailer with such detail in the building of such a fine piece.
If it would be easier you can send me answers to my email address "bfgair@aol.com"

I thank you for your time and trouble.
Bruce
